Dear Friends and Family,
I (Danny) just returned from a great week visiting with friends and mission supporters in Lexington, KY. Our home church Crossroads Christian, held their first Missions Emphasis Week. They invited home all the missionaries that they support from around the world (Haiti, China, Russia, Mexico, Honduras, and Bolivia). It was great hearing so many stories of how God is working among such diverse cultures.
Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement as we go through a time of transition in our ministry. Because of budgetary shortfalls, World Concern has closed their Latin American office here in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. As a result, our contract will not be renewed and we will be finishing our work with World Concern at the end of June.
Vanessa and I have become deeply committed to the work here in Bolivia and do not feel that God has called us back to the States simply because World Concern is no longer supporting our position. We are excited about the prospect of continuing our ministry in Bolivia under the supervision of another mission organization working here in Santa Cruz. Our current plan is to return to the U.S. at the end of June for several months to visit with family and supporters. We will attend a candidate training and missions conference in Vancouver in July and will hopefully soon after be making plans to return to Santa Cruz to continue our work here.
We hope and pray that all of our supporters will renew their commitment to support this ministry as it continues in a new direction. Please continue to send your contributions and monthly pledges to World Concern through June. We will let you know as soon as possible the details of how to contribute to our future ministry. But for now you can either continue to support us while we are in transition, or you can hold your monthly contributions and make a larger contribution to the new organization when we get set up with them. If you would like to send us personal checks you can simply make them out to Daniel Beams and mail them to my parents address in Kentucky. Unfortunately we cannot give tax receipts for any personal gifts.

Meanwhile, our work continues. We are excited to have Joyce Perkins, a dear friend of ours from Kentucky, here with us for a month. She is volunteering in several of the orphanages that Vanessa is working with. Also, pray for three mission teams we will be hosting in the coming months. My sister, Susan, and her family will be here with us for a family mission trip, and two teams will be coming from Crossroads Christian in June and July.
